I'm a student of photography and therefore love to study how photographers compose their pictures. This particular picture caught my attention on the Yahoo! image gallery. It's a moment captured during the dress rehearsal for The Beatles' first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
I love how the camera captures the lights from above, how the picture has an almost panoramic feel and I love the crisp old black and white colors. There's something magical and historic about black and white; like it transcends time.
I love how the subjects are caught in an unguarded moment. Look at their faces. Ed looks a little tense as he barks orders to his crew. Ringo and George look pretty bored. John looks like he's totally unimpressed with Ed. And Paul, well Paul looks like a fascinated, innocent little boy, just as he always does. :-)
